5th Avenue have posted another video preview on their youtube channel. This one is taken from their Spotlight Night a few weeks ago and features James Monroe Iglehart talking about how he got the role of Genie and making the part his own.
The more I hear James talk about the role, the more I'm convinced he's going to be the perfect Genie. I mean, just watch him in the video - he's fantastic!
I really hope this show comes to Broadway with as much of this cast as possible! I may not be able to get to Seattle, but if it ever hits New York (or even a National Tour) I'll be on the first flight!
This blog is dedicated to Disney's Aladdin: Broadway's New Musical Comdey. Following a successful Pilot Production at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in 2011, and regional and international productions in 2012, Disney announced that Aladdin would be coming to Broadway in 2014. Aladdin had it's pre-Broadway engagement at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre and opened on Broadway 20th March 2014.
