James Monroe Iglehart Wins Drama Desk Award!

The cast of Aladdin must be proud of their boy today as last night James Monroe Iglehart took home the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Genie in Aladdin!!

I just want to say a massive congratulations to James on this well deserved reward, it couldn't have gone to a nicer guy.  You put your heart and soul into this role every night, you've totally earned this.  So happy for you.

What a great way to end the week!  Hot on the heels of the Outer Circle Critics Awards nominations and the Drama League Awards nominations comes the news that Aladdin has been nominated for 7 Drama Desk Awards including, once again, Best Musical!
