Back in Rehearsals!

Broadway's Aladdin returned to the rehearsal room on Monday with a brand new cast that can't wait to bring the magic back to the New Amsterdam stage.

Now, Disney Theatrical have shared a first glimpse behind the curtain as Director/Choreographer Casey Nicholaw joins Michael Maliakel (Aladdin), Shoba Narayan (Jasmine), Michael James Scott (Genie), and more as they get ready to grant more Broadway wishes.

Aladdin reopens on Tuesday, September 28, and tickets are on sale now. And, if you want to be part of that magical return, there are even a few tickets available for reopening night!! Tickets for reopening were previously sold out, but I expect we will see availability for that night come and go now as we get closer and people who were hoping to travel internationally (like me) sadly can no longer attend. You guys just promise to cheer extra loud for me!

Aladdin Rehearsals Begin in Australia!

Ok, not even the time difference can make up for how late this post is!  Last week Disney's Aladdin began rehearsals for it's upcoming Australian premiere!

I just want to, very belatedly, wish everyone involved the very best of luck and I hope you all enjoy this creative process and make the show your own!  You look like you're off to an incredible start!

Tickets for the Australian production of Aladdin are now on sale.  You can book yours right here!  Previews begin Wednesday 3rd August and the show will officially open Thursday 11th August.

In just 9 days time Disney's Aladdin will begin previews in the West End and today Disney Theatrical lifted that incredible show curtain just a little bit to give London a hint at what's in store!

First up, our three incredible stars!

Next come three lovable rogues!  Aladdin's friends Babkak (Nathan Amzi), Omar (Rachid Sabitri) and Kassim (Stephen Rahman-Hughes).  Cut from the film and finding new life on stage these three join Aladdin on his magical high adventure!

But the cast aren't the only ones who've been working hard!  Whilst they've been making magic in the rehearsal studio, the crew over at the Prince Edward Theatre were just as busy transforming their new home into the mystical land of Agrabah;

The magic begins next Friday, 27th May, with the show officially opening on Wednesday 15th June.  Tickets (including limited availability for opening night!) are on sale now!

Today is the day!!

For the first time the complete cast and creative team of the West End production of Aladdin are gathered together as rehearsals for the show begin!

I just want to take this moment to wish everyone involved the very best of luck and I hope you all enjoy this creative journey you're about to begin.  Make the show your own and enjoy every moment, because it's that energy and passion that shines on stage and makes this show so magical.

Aladdin Moves to Toronto - First Day of Tech and Win Tickets with Canadian Living!

After a month of rehearsals in New York, this week saw the cast and crew of Aladdin pack their bags and head off to Toronto and the Ed Mirvish Theatre for their final month of rehearsals ahead of November's opening night!  Today is the first day of Tech Rehearsal and from everything I've read online it's going great!  This is going to be an amazing show!

If you live in Canada then make sure you enter Canadian Living's Aladdin competion.  You could win a trip for 2 to see the show, including tickets, hotel and return airfare.  The competition is only open to Canadian residents (guess I'm not wishing hard enough for these competitions to be international!) and you can enter once a day until November 11th, so go ahead and make a wish, say a prayer and you could be seeing the show for free.
