Has it really been a year?! On this day in 2014 James Monroe Iglehart took to the stage at the Radio City Music Hall to accept the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical for his portrayal of the Genie in Aladdin. His speech, like the man himself, was passionate and definitely memorable;
If you've ever seen James bring Genie to life then you know the award was well deserved. Winning the Tony may have been a dream come true for James but he continues to make peoples wishes come true every night at the New Amsterdam Theatre.
Congratulations again James, keep making that magic!
